Accessible Environment

Occupational therapists are uniquely qualified to assess the environmental needs of disabled people.

With the increasing legislative requirements and in particular with the consequence of the Disabled Discrimination Act, all public and private buildings need to be accessible and usable by disabled people.

Able 2 can enable you to identify what adaptation/modification to your premises is required. It could be as simple as the installation of a handrail, to extensive ramping, widening doorways and aisles.

Able 2 will objectively identify the simplest, most cost-effective way of providing the accessible environment.

Many businesses and shops consider that they will have to invest high levels of finance to comply with the legislation. This is not necessarily so and Able 2 will enable you to achieve your responsibilities in the most reasonable and cost-effective way.
