Occupational Therapist Employment Opportunities
Our occupational therapists are all State Registered and have a minimum of 3 years Community Occupational Therapist experience before they begin working with Able 2.
Able 2 can employ occupational therapists or you can be self-employed, depending on what suits you.
You would be joining the Able 2 team of valued occupational therapists and administrative staff. We recognise that we all have an important part to play and are committed to enabling your professional development and support whilst working with Able 2.
All appointments are booked by Able 2's administrative team and, as an occupational therapist, all you have to do is visit the client, undertake the comprehensive assessment of need and complete the relevant assessment form for the Local Authority you are working in, attach the diagrams and specifications for any recommended items and return the file to Able 2.
Our administrative team will then action/process the assessment findings.
Able 2 writes to the client to advise them of the outcome of the visit and inform them of what happens next
Able 2 will arrange for subsequent follow-up visits and ensure the client is supported throughout the process.
Thus as an Able 2 Occupational Therapist you focus on your area of expertise – the occupational therapy assessment and working directly with the client.
Supervision is provided by our senior occupational therapist, who will support you through the work and assist you to develop your occupational therapy skills more. In addition, Able 2 is developing training courses which are specifically designed for our occupational therapists' needs.
Provided you give us adequate notice (i.e. 7 days), working for Able 2 would enable you to be flexible and fit in with your life style.
We pay you an agreed fee per assessment or follow-up visit.
We undertake a range of occupational therapy work with Local Authority Social Services Departments, Grants and Housing Departments, Housing Associations, Residential Homes, to name but a few.
