Occupational Therapy Services for the Local Authority Social Services Departments

Able 2 works with many Local Authority Occupational Therapy Departments with regard to assisting them to reduce their waiting lists for people waiting for Occupational Therapist assessments.

In addition, once reduced, we can assist the Local Authority to maintain their low waiting lists by Able 2 being allocated a regular number of referrals each month.

Able 2 has a team of experienced State Registered occupational therapists who all receive regular supervision and support from our Senior Occupational Therapists. We have regular training courses and ensure that the professional development of our occupational therapists is maintained at all times.

Our administrative team are highly skilled and provide full support and assistance to the service user and the occupational therapists, ensuring the efficient management and progression of the assessment service.

Our database enables us to monitor and review the progress of our work and provide you with regular reports confirming that we are working within the contract requirements and enabling your service to respond within the increasingly tight timescales that are applicable.

Able 2 is experienced in providing a complete service. Not only do we arrange and undertake the assessment, we retain the client's file whilst all the equipment, minor and major adaptations are provided. Thus the file is returned to the Local Authority as closed requiring no further action.

Thus we often say ‘from initial assessment to final inspection' .
